Just to educate you some more...Richy boy...every single American President has proclaimed to be a Christian and every single one has belonged to an organized religion/church (except possibly one).
I will just go back to Roosevelt.
32. F. D. Roosevelt (D) Episcopalian
33. Truman (D) Baptist
34. Eisenhower (R) Presbyterian
35. Kennedy (D) Roman Catholic
36. L. B. Johnson (D) Disciples of Christ
37. Nixon (R) Quaker
38. Ford (R) Episcopalian
39. Carter (D) Southern Baptist
40. Reagan (R) Disciples of Christ
41. G.H.W. Bush (R) Episcopalian
42. Clinton (D) Baptist
43. G. W. Bush (R) Methodist
It would be unusual if a President were did not profess to be a religious person.
