what productivity is recommended for a text category site?

I'm running TM3 and would like to know what is the recommended minimum productivity one should have with trades when ones site is a text category site?

And is "effectivity" of use? If so what is the recommended minimum amount for that?

    thanks in advance

ok. So say if a trade is a productivity of 1.50, should I then increase my ratio to 1.5 or leave it at 1.20?

Depends on your skim. 100% is shit though, unless you run a pure CJ where all links go to trades.

You realize that posts that make you look stupid will decrease the value or your sig, right? Don't post on things you have no fucking clue about.

I have 70% going to galleries and 30% going to trades. What minimum would you recommend? or just any number about 1.00 will grow my site?

You need to send back to trades 120-140% of what they send you. If 30% of the traffic that clicks on your site goes to trades, then do the math on how many times a surfer has to click (on average), in order to be send 1.2-1.4 times to trades.

yes you're right. Please enlight me.
Why then John (lumberjack) told me that they have 80-100% prod. on LJ. And almost the same on worldsex and al4a? They are clueless, or what ?
THey are using RB4 and he said to me that 120% was the highest prod. they had.

I don't know myself, but I know what people told me.

You're clueless.. Those sites are only tracking clicks on their toplists, maybe the banner ads and maybe a handfull of gallery links.. so 100% prod on those sites is HUGE. If they tracked every gallery click it would probably be 400% or a shit load more. On "most" sites that count clicks on every gallery link, 100% is pitifull.

No one can answer that.. Is the trade critical to your site?? Is it 150% with 10 hits IN? or 10000 hits in?? Are you trying to grow the trade? In general, if you want to just maintain a 1:1 trade with a site, you'll have to send at least 125% (80% exchange which with losses will be 100% exchange) of what they send you. But in practice you need to set it to probably 130%.

Then don't make comments on topics you don't know shit about. If you don't know how to figure out what 80-100-120% prod means for a site, then shut the fuck up and stop making yourself look like a damn fool who only cares about increasing his postcount and whoring his sig.

be cool man. That seems a bit harsh. So he's clueless, so what! Everyone was clueless at one time or another. If he doesn't ask, then how is he going to learn and become a master like you?

And he doesn't appear to be whoring his sig either. To me it seemed like a legit question from a TGP noob.

The question is legit. It wasn't FredIsMe I was bitching at, but beta-tester. He has no clue about running a TGP, yet he pops in on every TGP thread and starts giving advice. The advice he gives is just stuff he's heard from others, which he repeats and adds his own opinion to. That would be cool, if he actually had a clue about what he was advising on, but the fact is that he doesn't. So his input is not only totally worthless to anyone looking for advice on TGP's, it will most likely also cause negative progress, if put into practice.
