People in general aren't responsible to have / handle one, which is why people in general shouldn't have one. Just like people in general should not be able to have nuclear weapons in their possession. Just like some kid on the playground who pulls out a knife during a fight and "accidently" stabs another kid, wasn't responsible enough to have / handle that knife.
I know your points and have discussed them with you before in previous threads regarding guns and gun violence. I think it boils down to people being the problem, whereas you see the weapon being the issue.

I'm happy for this kid, living life doped up since the age of 9 is no way to live, he's better off dead. If someone gave me mind altering drugs against my will and I had no way to stop it, I'd probably kill myself too, and take whoever was drugging me out with me. As far as I'm concerned parents who drug their kids deserve a shotgun to the back of the head. Way to stand up for yourself, kid. He probably saved a few lives by sacrificing his own, my prayers are with his soul. Hopefully a few other parents will learn from this and not drug their kids because a teacher is mad that they won't pay attention.
