Mainstream Traffic Vs Adult Traffic

With which are you getting better results?

Is the ROI better for mainstream vs Adult or vice versa?

I'm starting to dabble a bit in mainstream haven't really launched anything yet but in the middle of research I've found guys kind of like here on GFY..some making $100's a month some making $1,000's some making 10's of $1,000's.

Anyway just wondering if you are doing mainstream and adult what your experiences have been like.

Are you faring better in adult or mainstream?

i've only started moving into mainstream about 6 months ago. i'm making money, but nothing like what i'm doing in adult. of course i've been in adult for 8 years, which might have something to do with it ;)

i think mainstream has better retention but conversion is a little harder. all depends on what you sell

I think they are pretty close. Price point is more importnat in mainstream. You can't sell dime candy and make money but most stuff does ok.

Its a lot easier to make a buck in non adult than adult now

but keep away from penis programs, dating and scams
get real traffic promoting real products There are VAst areas of un exploitated traffic and good ROI overall, I average 80c a click with adsense and cj.com can convert with the best.

its hard to know actually .. my mainstream site pushs both adult and mainstream products ..

i have a solid mainstream income per month now but then again the adult income sometimes doubles the mainstream income if its a good month or u get the right visitors

Mainstream is HUGE if you got the knowledge and money to pull it off. As a regular affiliate you can make a few bucks on Adsense and the like but not that big from what I've seen. As an affiliate (for me that is) adult is far more proffitable, and adult traffic is easy to get...

i dont think money comes into it at all really .. if you have the knowledge .. a good design and great seo then your site will go to the same heights as one with bad seo and lots of money ..

It would seem to me that it would be more difficult in gathering interest with mainstream vs adult because with adult you can throw up some naked pics of chicks...kind of hard for anyone to turn that down...LOL

Yes, BUT think about the adult traffic you get most often. It's from brokers, trades, gallery clicks, etc. Most people won't even let you use a damn console. Think about how much extra cash you'd be making if you could pop a console on your galleries.

i run a mainstream site and i would never ever exchange links with a site who runs pop ups or dialers .. its principle .. i dont like them served to me so im not sending my surfers to sites with them ..

yeah interest can be hard to get going but im guessing its more rewarding down the line .. my site has started to turn a profit monthly now which is good

Depends completely on what you push and where and how.

It's nowhere near as easy to get traffic in mainstream.
And prices for traffic is usually much higher- and you can't "trade" as easy in mainstream. Thought if sites were more open to there would be so much more opportunity.

They still think exit swaps are efficient ways to trade traffic.
