Sooooo, I'm thinking of inviting someone to go to a show with me. I've seen alot of couples fight at shows, so I'm not sure if it's a good idea?? We aren't really a couple, just been out a few times. But, I'm not into holding someones hand, I like to do my own thing. So, is this a bad idea?
Taking someone to a convention, does it work???

Well that would depend. What do you look to gain by taking them?? a good time? Do they have the personality to enjoy themself at a show. and last but not least can this person keep up w/you? -
From those people I've seen bring a friend or significant other to a show, the friend often feels awkward because the people at these shows are all your friends and colleagues so they have a hard time starting up conversations with the people involved. Just my 2c...

Yeah, I kinda thought that too. But....I think the girls would be all over him, so, I think he'd be ok!Originally posted by WiredGuyFrom those people I've seen bring a friend or significant other to a show, the friend often feels awkward because the people at these shows are all your friends and colleagues so they have a hard time starting up conversations with the people involved. Definately not a good idea! You won't be able to do the things that you want to do in the time frame you want to do them. It usually turns into more babysitting than a good time.Comment

Pictures? What does he/she look like?Comment

Hmmm, you'd probably end up babysitting him more than anything in that case. Unless you want him to hookup with the women at the shows, lol.Originally posted by fatal attractionYeah, I kinda thought that too. But....I think the girls would be all over him, so, I think he'd be ok!

I think shows are unsuitable for friends.Originally posted by fatal attractionSooooo, I'm thinking of inviting someone to go to a show with me. 1. people pretty much always start convo with something along the lines of: "what site do you run? How much traffic" etc etc. Which brings the whole convo to 'biztalk' Which is superboring for somebody that's not in it.
2. I don't believe 'freeloaders' are very welcome. By which I mean: if you plan on visiting some parties, there's usually free drinks etc. I think it's not considered cool to bring an outsider(meaning: no potentail moneymaker) and drink all the free booze.
But someone correct me if I'm wrong

B R U T A L was more like it, bitch would have been a walk in the park. Who knows maybe he is into being ignored. I am sure that doesn't happen to him often. ( I have that same problem don't cha know
) but honestly If he partys with you in a strange city he has a pretty good chance of ending up on a milk carton. He can't keep up with you, let alone keep up while your working.
