Does anyone here actually believe that a site grossed 110 million in one year?
To me, you have to buy into the hype that some people have made absurd amounts of money with no proof offered. Show me some proof that a 1-900 graduate made 110 million in a single year.

The video started out good, but ended up SUCKING FUCKING ASS! I'm sorry, but the porn scene in LA is NOT indicative of the entire industry. I've been shooting for 7 years. I don't pull the bullshit that models complained about in that LAME FUCKING FILM. It pisses me off to think that people might see that PIECE OF TRASH and think that's how this business is.
What you show in that film is NOT something that I am a part of, nor is it something I'd WANT to be a part of...
The world doesn't revolve around LA, guys. That video might be a documentary about the way things work in LA or a few other parts of the world, but it is NOT indicative of the whole of the business.Comment

simple math will show u that Levi was not lying by much if at all when he says in the doc he took in 110 million in his best year, which was probably 97-98 timeframe.
let's say he averaged 4,000 joins a day, multiply that by 365 days,
gives you 1,460,000 - retention was great in those days -

I think this is a great film for adult webmasters to get an insight as to what's been happening over the years in this industry and how we progressed. But like it says in the film over saturation is becoming one of the major killers and is the cause for a lot of business loss. Regardless of what type of vibe this documentary brings to the table, this film might spark an outbreak of wana be pornographers. With that said, hopefully only knowledge can be gained from this film rather than followers.
If you want a comparison lets take a look at the underground spam world that eventually made it out into the public. The media is the cause for billions of mails being hammered out by newbies. Without the media glorifying and knocking spam, it would have never grown to this level.

Thanks for the comments. I don't think the film will spark an outbreak of new people coming in because the barrier to entry is just too high now and that premise is repeated over and over. What everyone saw was very rough and the film will end on a positive note- It all goes back to how brilliant certain people were. Threre's lots of guys like Mike AI, Rich from RJBT, Karups...these guys are all different and each one is brilliant.. and yet they are not in the movie... but they deserve to be, or at least have their stories told. Everyone can learn about retention from the boys at Karups...
The movie's true aim is to show that we don't watch porn all day- like Roger says, we look at the numbers, it's a business and some blew it up larger than anyone in the valley and that to me is the story and yet Seth crashed and burned.
The content side is just crazy shit that is hard in nature but that's just the way is. It's where it's at now. Talk to the shooters at Nasty Dollars and Top Bucks and you'll hear what they say...
People want to hear why girls do certain things. Why did Nadi Sinn let 6 guys and a girl go all over her in a tub for an hour for 350.00...think it was about the cash? People want to see that. And they will.

I thought is was entertaining, but rough. I know shit like that has happened and does happen, but from my experience it isnt a common accurance like it was made to look here. I really dig the concept and like how this preview was put together. I'm also really glad that not only were Webmasters interviewed, put many of the performers were also interviewed. I think mixing the two worlds (Internet/Movie industries) really makes this something many people will want to watch.
It was great to see someone like Von Swine and Erik chatting away, not to mention the female talent (catching up with Gia and the angle it was shot at was excellent). And on top of that you seem to even have some pretty recent new girls in there (Jordan).
I think your really onto something.
