    You know, you know, you know . . .

    Why do so many people say "you know" in every sentence when they talk?

    Drives me crazy when I'm having a conversation with someone and they do that incessently.

    You know.

                                                  "Like" is MUCH worse up here. It makes everyone sound like an escaped Valley Girl. I am trying to get it out of my own speech, but it's hard! It really is!

                                                                      EVERYONE has something they say a lot.... I never realized it until I finished my radio broadcasting course in college. I came out being much better at picking up speech patterns and manorisms... and I've found that everyone has something that they say or do often.

                                                                      Most of the time it's just something they pick up here and there... it tends to change from time to time... every couple of years usually.

                                                                      But even though there's something that a lot of people do that bugs you, chances are there's something that you say or do often in your expressions that happens very often, and others might pick up on.
