From the very first link of the online porn industry...

from the very first penny, that makes this industry, there is deception, lying, and fraud

why the hell is it that sponsor shaving is a "standard"? that we are not surprised to hear that this or that sponsor shaves?

everything is attached to sponsors, whether you have galleries, free sites, tgps, mailing... and everything is subject to fraud and deception

and this is the top of the link, you can go on selling traffic, link exchanges, everything between yourselves but no matter how much of a clean operation you maintain, you have the sponsors up there who make it all obsolete, because of their business ethics and "trend" of shaving in this industry

I am plain sick of starting to promote a sponsor, make great money, and after 1 week see the stats drop to 1/3 of what they used to be, with nothing having changed in what I do

that was my rant of the day, thank you for listening

Its funny because 50% of the people in the industry believe that 90% of all sponsors shave even if just a bit while 10% beleive taht only one or two shave.

I guess thats why you should strive to always be on the profitable edge of the blade and be the "shaver" vs. the "shavee".

Like j$ said, you're a smart kid start your own program or site up.

Then you'll see that its not always the sponsors fault when ratios drop, processor scrubbing and the alignment of the planets have a lot to do with it as well

if no one is buying that day, your traffic wont convert
if processors are scrubbing hard, people cant buy

                sucks for everyone

I absolutely understand the situation here, I am just saying that we should not tolerate this shaving crap that's going on, and is an industry standard

big company owners, who attend shows all the time, million dollar deals, are trained to look at you in the eye and lie, and as if that's not enough, hire people and train them to lie as well...

bullshit... I want to see the inside of your admin panel before I send you the majority of my traffic, you know what I mean?

bdjuf they don?t really need to be trained to lie......I have had a few folks who needed money very badly outright say......whatever it is you want me to tell someone to "backup" your story...as long as they get a check each week.....they will say anything.

If you have ever seen the movie "boiler room"...you will understand their mentality, however in that movie it was more motivated by sheer unadulterated greed.

I know for a fact my #1 sponsor shaves me. But I dont care, because the checks are getting bigger and my profit margin is growing.

Welcome to the weekly shaving thread.

There is a way to ensure that affiliates make the most of their time and that means logging the hours worked, money spent and putting it against what you earned. Could also kick in traffic sent.

It's dishonest if a sponsor shaves but if he's converting twice as well as the others why get too upset. Because you would not of signed up if he offered half the commission.

If you are going by this weeks figures don't fret I think most sign ups were down.

Problem is no affiliates have ever got together to find out if a sponsor is really shaving or not.

And that is the bottom line, the size of the check. The sponsor could be spending more on the surfer to get the high conversions, yet need to offer 50% to get the traffic.

So basically what you're saying is you don't mind sponsors taking a cut of your sales to spice up their members areas? Or you don't mind getting shaved as long as the checks keep increasing? You're a crooked programs dream.

                                              It really sucks

Sometimes I wonder wtf I'm doing in this industry when everyone (except 2 sponsors that I'm very happy with) with decent sites is screwing me... it amazes me that some of them are so blatantly obvious in their shaving...

I'm aware that sponsors have down weeks etc. though when other conversions are at normal and a sponsor suddenly stops converting AND everyone else isn't having any issues with a sponsor then there is something wrong.

Maybe if a sponsor was caught and sued for breach of contract we might see some more honesty, or maybe not

big company owners, who attend shows all the time, million dollar deals, are trained to look at you in the eye and lie, and as if that's not enough, hire people and train them to lie as well...

bullshit... I want to see the inside of your admin panel before I send you the majority of my traffic, you know what I mean?
