We have a 4 yr old, so I want a dog he can pal around with, that isn't going to eat him. lol

I've done a lot of research on different dogs, and bassetts seem to fit our lifestyle well. We are always home, have a fenced in yard, a 4 yr old to play with him a little, but not to much.

Always good to hear from an owner with personal experience.
