nope.. u can stream from ur line to a box to push the feed out to others and it also depends what type of format you want to do.Comment

if you want a simple camshow upload ftp thingie no, if you want streaming and not stampsize yes you need a fast connection but 128kb works most of the times, just make sure your ded server can handle all the requestsOriginally posted by RRACY

i upload my stream and the quality is amazing and really thats all i need because once my stream hits the server its the servers speed that is going to be pushing it out to the others...Originally posted by RRACY

as long as your server can handle X amount of people streaming off it things should be fine..
I have used the helix server before (real media) but lots of people do not have it i found and dont want to install it.. i like windows media stream or the flash stream (0-1 second delay max)Comment

well a simple p3 with a campushing prg and a java applet will do then, get a chat or even better something like parachat so you dont have to worry bout crashing your box, get webcam32 or alike and its setup in 10 mins and broadcasting...Originally posted by RRACY

like jenn said you need a fast server to handle all the requests, take a look at gfy for some hosts and get a decent ded server with linux and dont forget to ask for any pre-installed software some are already with Real some with Windows, dont forget to ask Real costs over 1500 if you need to buy it... the other software is cheap maybe like 100 all together and a decent CCD cam another 100 with tripod like 150,Originally posted by studio
