Linking to 1 banned site doesn't make you a part of a bad neighbourhood.In fact I have a site thas had links to 2 banned sites without consequences because google could see that I was not part or party to those sites.(although i was)Now if I had links to 3 or 4 of chokers sites and he had a couple back to me then google may consider me part of that neighbourhood and penalise me.
In saying that I got those 2 sites i was referring to, banned cos I paid choker to put 50000 links to my domains hoping to hide their expired domain links but instead it put me under Google's microscope and they banned akcfug.org and artillion.com because of a hidden link from sc2002.org which was a pr8 before google banned it as well.
But as a traffic trader choker sites are good value and people should not be scared about getting of a google penalty.
