    I'm pretty sure Outlook Express won't let you read messages in text format only.

    You can set it to send in text only, but they won't let you read in text only.

    The only options are to filter anything that might be a virus, or get rid of the preview pane and then look at the message source code before you open it.

    Or use something other than outlook.

            I think he was just referring to the fact that they were trying to pass a law that would make various hacking attacks classified as an act of terrorism.

            I assume they were worried about foreign countries trying to cripple the U.S. via computer-based attacks.

            I don't think the law passed, but I could be wrong.
