Another thing. People making sure others get banned is nothing but jealousy. Who gives a fuck if someone is #1 everywhere. Be the #2 then, you'll still get plenty. There's room for everyone here. So far I only see about 6 adult sites that are doing a good job on Google and even those are not on top everywhere and even those could be doing a lot better if they knew what they are doing wrong. So, plenty of room for others.
Reporting someone doesn't get you on top. Working hard and focusing only on SEO, does.Comment

When banned, it's not necessarily all lost. Write a reinclusion request, tell them you are really sorry for spamming their index, you'll never do it again. Don't try to excuse or explain anything. Remove all!! pages that could be considered as spam from the domain before you send this mail, make the site as clean as possible...then there is a small chance.
They may decline it, but it's worth a try...Friend got back his PR6 this way. If you get it back, make sure to use a different host and whois for any future projects that may be a bit spammy ;)Comment

Ok, I do have to weigh in on this one. I used to trade links with the webmaster of smashingthumbs. All and all, it was a good site ? a work of adult webmaster SEO genius in my opinion.
Problem here is the guy got overly aggressive in his linking and use of borderline doorways pages. The guy was ranking for all kinds of terms on Google and I strongly suspect that the majority of spam complaints came from webmasters that we jealous of smashingthumbs success.
On the other hand, it wouldn?t matter if smashingthumbs was coming up for every term under the sun just as long as when Google hand screened it there was good content in the results. Unfortunately for ST there was not.
Even though he was a major competitor ? it is sad to see it happen, I have a feeling that rival webmasters helped shovel the grave, and the main reason he went down is webmaster running it just got too damn greedy.
That my 2 cents.
