    Ripping DVDs - what's the best program?

    I need to rip some content DVDs, and make them into video files ( avi / mpeg ?)... Whats the best / fastest / easiest to use, program out there to do that?

    Can I rip DVDs straight to mpeg files, or will I have to make them AVIs first, then convert them?

              Use dvd decrypter to copy it to your hd (if you rip directly from dvd you could start a fire in your comp)

              Then use a program to create a *fake* .avi (check google)

              Then use TMPGEnc.

              It's realy easy once you know what you are doing

                      Maybe thats why all my computers keep melting down...umm yeah..If your computers catch fire you need to send that shit back because something is wrong.

                          DVD2avi, save project, VFAPI convert, Open Virtualdub, wav audio, start frameserver, save vdr, open vdr in tmpgenc, adjust settings, hit start. Then go watch tv while you wait.
