My bank in Sweden charges around $16 to cash in a check and the bastards also have a $8 fee on wires that doesn't use IBAN.

I think you're better off going to a check cashing store. A bank will start wondering what's up if they see a bunch of offshore accounts and you don't have an established account with them already.

If you have that offshore account to stash away some money. DONT cash checks. If they cannot wire you the money, change sponsers and cut the losses. Don't go cashing 1 or 2 checks becasue they'll start asking questions. If you are 100% legit (tax wise) you got nothing to fear cashing those...Originally posted by alex_a
