    Epoch, allowing 11 year olds to join?

    i came accross this topic on another board, You accept solo cards, "kiddy debit" cards, which are issued to 11 year old, when the kid turns 18, they get upgraded to a Maestro Card

      cant kids get visa's now ? How can a company stop kids from lying on the signup form ?

          Well you have to put a SS # down don't you. How hard is it to check to see how old a person is? You have to have a job don't you. Doesn't Visa actually CALL the job to see if that person actually works there?

              any fucking kid can have a visa, i used to eat a deli and all the middle school kids would come over and buy lunch with that.

                  Any business that would take a regular visa from a kid should be shut down. I wouldn't. I'd tell the kid to get the fuck out of there.

                  Also HOW are they getting Visas? Hell I get turned down for credit cards all the fucking time and I'm 36 years old.

                      kids can upgrade to switch, they can also get credit cards at an age aslong as a parent/guardian guarantees it.

                          Solo and Switch (debit) cards are basically a replacement for check books.

                          As such anyone can have one (in the UK).

                          I have had a check book for since I was 13.

                          In theory, I could have at 13 sent a check to a porn site and joined.

                          The thing about solo is that you can not spend more than you have in your account. So unlike credit cards you cannot get in debt.

                                  Kids can get secured visa cards with no parental consent, and they dont need a SS# either. All you need is $500 cash

                                              Regardless, it doesn't make much sense to accept cards that ONLY go to kids. whatif_3 is right, there's absolutely no sense in this.

                                                  Of course well are all forgetting kids are too smart to actually PAY for porn in the first place. They are not used to paying $6 for a Hustler that didn't even show any penetration like I did or renting a XXX movie for 24 hours for $5 at the local video store. I mean if 12-15 years ago you told me I could rent as many pornos tapes as I wanted for $30 a month I'd have jumped all over that motherfucker.

                                                      Kids can buy just about anythying their hearts desire if they are sort of smart and can access mommy and daddy's wallets.

                                                      When I was young I used to play that computer game called Dirty Jack or something like that and it used to ask skill testing questions that you would have to be 18 years and older to know the answers to... that did not keep me or my friends out.

                                                      It is not epochs responsibility to ensure that the person they are processing is an adult it is for the parents to figure that out and keep an eye on them.

                                                                  I would say Epoch were named as CCBill don't accept UK Switch or Solo debit cards and they must do...

                                                                  The only places that accept these cards that I've seen on the net so far, are all UK based...

Im sure this is the reason it was added/made/used

                                                                              solo cards are credit cards isued to children 11-18, once they turn 18 they get upgraded to a nonsolo card and they are offered by epoch on their porn sites

                                                                              you bring up a good point, but there has to be a way to not offer that option only on the porn side of it. why does somebody clicks going to a porn site and can use kiddy debit card to sign up? epoch is a respected company, but i dont understand this
