    It's a shame anyone would insult the small businesses, after all that was what this country was built on.

    If there was ever a major nuclear war and we lost a large part of this country, people just would not know how to survive and
    start over. They would be too busy fighting over crap like this or killing each other for electrical appliances that don't work anymore..

                            That could also be because clinton was too busy getting his dick sucked instead of standing up to terrorists like Osama Bin Laden. We are in a deficit because we are at war, however its funny how the economy has been growing for 12 straight months at least.

                                                                                9-11 happened under Bush because the Bush administration was clueless about foreign relations, didn't want to take any advice, killed ongoing anti-terrorism programs and left us vulnerable. Obviously Bush wasn't very far into his presidency but you should read into how the Bush team was treating the terrorist threat.. Clinton basically left office saying that terrorism was goingt o be the greatest threat, but Bush sat on policies and recommendations and started building missile defence shields as priorities remember?

                                                                                        It is pretty funny to blame Clinton for spending so much of his time occupied with the Lewinski matter when it's pretty obvious to anyone with half a brain he would have preffered not being impeached and getting on with things lol. You could just as easily blame the republicans for forcing the administration to focus on Lewinski for so long, but that would be just as stupid.

Colmes always has been and always will be a liberal. The fact that he uses his head unlike some hardcore liberals is why many don't like him, but he is a liberal regardless. He uses common sense unlike those staunch liberals or republicans for that matter. Anyone who makes up their mind without hearing the facts is just stupid regardless and many people on both sides of the fence do that.

                                                                                                    Secondly Bush was in office for 9 mos when the attack happened. The FBI got a memo from an agent in August 2001. I am sure if he knew there was going to be an attack on the US in September, something would have been done ( i dont doubt this of any president).

                                                                                                    I really don't believe that within 9mos a president can be judged on. He has been at war since the 9th month of his presidency, thus spending has been increased due to war, etc. The economy is coming back around and it has been proven. I don't think Bush nor the economy is doing that bad given the situation.

                                                                                                    Lets not forget that with all this we also had tax cuts, and wow the economy is in the rebound as well.

For the government to provide a happy, healthy, shameless, and even exciting society, for everyone, regardless of their personal means, requires a massive amount of cash from the citizens as well as all that can be borrowed. Further, to make sure that no citizen gets into trouble and is in bed each night at a reasonable hour, a huge government staff is a necessity. This, of course, requires every dime the public can spare and just a bit more.

I know it will pain a lot of non-Americans, but is a fact. The US has tons of flaws and for awhile have been heading in the wrong direction on some issues, but there is no other nation that has every the US has.
