    Heat limit for harddrives?

Whats the heat limit for hard drives? Some of mine are constantly running on 50 celsius/122-130 fahrenheit and I guess thats to high or?

You must find out the model number and go to the manufacturer's website and look up the data info on it. Some hard drives are rated up to a limit of 45 others higher, only by knowing the model number will you know.

As soon as they melt, you can assume they were just a tad bit to hot

I don't like them running hotter than 25c

Best to use a case that blows air from the intake over the hard drives

50c is okish.. Mine run at 35-40c which is ok.
I believe 55c+ is when it starts to become an issue.

Bruv if you have good cooling setup, that shouldn't be a problem

if I see it go over 35c I'm not happy at all

They should easily be able to deal with 40ยฐC but the cooler, the better of course.

I've experienced that, the colder they are being used, the longer they will function...

As soon as your system starts freezing and rebooting you will know the bitch got too hot.
