I know here in Pacific Beach (San Diego) we are allowed alcohol (in plastic containers) on the beach. I am curious what other beaches allow this.

technically, i dont think that you're allowed alcohol on ft lauderdale beach, but as long as you dont bring bottles or litter, the cops will turn a blind eye and won't bother you.Comment

I just cracked an India beer right now....However, I'm in the house in front of the air conditioning...Unless I'm at a beach bar or restaurant, I can't see the point of drinking something that raises your body temperature even more. And I drink beer ALL the time...but on the beach, I can only drink water or a sweet fruity non-alcoholic drink.

Quite correct. No drinking on beaches, no drinking in public areas whatsoever. Drinking is okay at one's campsite within campgrounds that allow it, but you can't wander down the road to another campsite carrying booze.
