Toronto Peeps - TTC is going on Strike Monday morning

Over the past 2 years fares for TTC (bus/Subway/streetcar) have gone from $2 to $2.25 last year to $2.50 last MONTH! And now these rotten theives want to go one strike!? I really don't care is the ttc hike affects or does not affect the ttc employees directly, as far as I'm concerned its us passangers that are getting bent over twice. Howe the fuck am I getting to school on Monday? and work? the booty call? its about $130 in cab rides...if I'll be able to find one.

Privitize the ttc, most of the ttc people are godawful lowlife degenerates who rob toutists blind, taking their $, yell at them, and ignoring them. (Danforth is notorious for this) not to mention the consistent fucking delays on the line and the psychotic freaks off their meds. There was a beefcake dude on my subway car on monday with no shirt (it was a cold day) wearing a santa hat yelling at the doors everytime they oopened. It was entertaining for a few stops, until the pregnant lady with her kid wanted to get on....then it was just creepy. Fuck the TTC

Pull a Reagan and fire all of them: It's not like they are irreplaceable!
Seriously, how hard it is to drive a bus in a straight line?

You know? Unbelievable. I'm against most privitization....but this could be a win-win situation
get rid of the lazy sloppy ignorant motherfuckers, privitize, fuck the union, and instill the fear of god in those people. Seriously, drive a stright line! Or stay on the tracks and stop when u have too. it's not like they're fucking splitting atoms or anything.

People with no skills always bitch about their pay. That's why you need Republicans to bitch slap them with the pink slip and remind them how replaceable they really are.

Hahaha. That was mean. But pretty true.

Ahhhhhhh good ol unions. Most companies would strike immediately but they know that Fri-sunday they wont be as busy as Monday morning to make that all important impact.

              Bastages!!

On the other hand I am north of the city in hicksville, so the only traffic worries I have is when the farm boys clog up main street with rigs full of cows on the way to Bovine University.

same thing happened in Vancouver a couple years ago... bus drivers went on strike for half a year. People just found other ways.
In the end, the drivers and the company lost out because less people used their system after they learned how to walk and ride bikes again.

I have a friend who's father-in-law is making $80k driving a streecar with the TTC.

                      That tells you something.

If they go on strike the city will be immobolized.

I live right downtown so personally, this won't affect me. I can walk almost anywhere I need to be.

But I can see the Gardiner from my window. I'll wave to those in gridlock. I'm mean, I know.
