FUCK! Someone hitbotted my Google Adwords Campaign

Now this pisses me off
I run a small campaign in google, with really targeted keywords. It usually gets 400 impressions and 10-20 clicks daily.

Just checked my account and i have a fucking 11,631 impressions and 527 click for today ! I have to pay 60$ for nothing.

It seems like someone just hitbotted my camgain, cause none of the clicks converted.
Fucking pathetic losers...

What should i do ? Whats your suggestion guys ?

hit up google and tell em, it's only $60, so they may not even bother.

they have pretty good shit in place to watch out for those sort of things
but if someone wants to fuck you up, they can.

Happened to my overture account a couple years back. Went from $350/day to $1800 in one Sunday afternoon.

Fine folks at overture refused to do a damn thing about it. .

Not that I know anything about your situation but, chances are, it's someone hitting adsense like crazy to either take out a competitor or make money. Are you serving in searches AS well as adsense?

I refuse to recieve from adsense results now after several issues with floods of worthless clicks. Drops volume but I guarantee you'll make more profit.

I consider myself lucky that i notice that shit quick. Hitbotters didnt find time to full fill my daily spending limit ,250$

I dont really care about the money, its just 60bucks at all. But i will wait and see what will the googleguys do... Will post the results here...

BTW guys, i think i know the guy who did it. I sent an email yesterday to google about a competitor in my keyword, cause he is abusing the system and using illegal stuff.
Do you think i should counterattack him ? He is not runnign a campaign anymore, but i know his webpage

Unfortunately shit happens, there is nothing you can do except send a complaint to google.

Take comfort in the fact, that you are not the only one this has happened too. I'm sure all combined, google ppc advertisers spend $1000's per day on fraudulent clicks.

$60!?!?! Holy shit, how much is your per-click? My monthly bill is $3500 - $4500 with Adwords and Overture is a bit less since I set my CPC down incredibly low.

BTW, having a lot of click throughs can help your relevance for the search topics. I would pay the $60 and keep the clicks.

It was a really targeted traffic like i said. You cant expect 12.000 daily impressions for a keyword like "midgets with huge cocks fucking goats in their tight asses for just fun"

BTW, pausing the campaign doesnt seem to stop the hitbotter. I am still getting clicks and impressions for a paused ad. Now that a 100% sure evidence...

Do you know if the clicks came from Google or from Adsense sites? I'd definately report it to Google, they tend to be a lot better at customer service than Overture which is full of pricks. Do you have logs of the traffic with the ips? If I were you I'd definately spend some time on this because whoever did it is likely to do it again.

Do the clicks come from google.com or from the search networks? If it's from the search networks, it might be coming from a "particular" site that is getting a temporary surge in traffic. It happened to me last time.

Its unfortunate but I do factor fraud into the ROI. I assume a certain percentage is fraud and just factor it in. Not a great solution, but I'm not prepared to sue the major PPC's either, especially considering they're also the hand that feeds me.
