I have never understood that either. I have a friend whos boyfriend is so fucking mean to her it is ridiculous. But then she would never leave him. I just don't get it. Oh that is bullshit. No one wants to be treated without respect. I think sometimes people, both guys and girls, forget what it's all about and take their partner for granted. Usually the partner puts up with it way too long, hoping it will stop and things will either go back to normal or find some other good point of normalcy.
But then again men always like to chase, I guess when you start being too nice to them they decide you're a pushover.

I think females for one thing, like a good challenge. No one wants to have a guy that is a pushover, he'll get stepped on.
As for asshole boyrfriends, sometimes the abuse just grows on the woman, and they eventually feel worthless as a person. When you feel like shit about yourself, you don't realize you are too good for this person.
