    Would You Rather Be Displayed Openly Like The Pope When Your Dead?

    Its kind of neat the way they're showing the Pope so openly. Gives a much better presentation of the passed person than just all boxed up in a closed coffin like most people go out in.

    I think this should become more of the norm in church services for the departed.

      I don't want a funeral at all. I've always thought funerals are rather selfish.

                              ...and another thing, I think cemeteries are selfish too. The idea of taking up a certain amount of space on this earth forever is rather selfish, and unsustainable. What would happen if everyone who has ever existed on this earth had been given 20 square feet of space that would be their plot forever more? Fuck that, just throw my dead body in some shark infested waters or leave my carcass deep in the forest to decompose naturally or shoot me in a space coffin towards the sun so I can just burn up nice and cripsy

                                          Well you've got a point there. The 6 Billion people on earth right now will all be dead and need a place to go about 90 years from now.

                                          That's a lot of coffins and a lot of ground to dig up.

                                          It kind of freaks your mind out when you think about it.

                                                                          i don't even want the funeral home people looking at me or doing stuff to me. and it happens, i know this for a fact because my grandfather used to play poker with the owner of one of the funeral home owners where i grew up and once they played at the funeral home owner's residence which was part of the funeral home, these men were drunk as usual at the poker game and i don't know how it happened but they set up a dead guy and sat him at the poker table, put a cigar in his mouth and a beer in his hand.

                                                                          i'd prefer to just cremate myself right before the end, self combustion - poof.
