Was driving home on the freeway last night while it was pretty wet out. Some drunk girl in a newer Eclipse slammed into another car, which then spun out and hit the back left quarter panel of my car. That spun my car 90 degrees to the right so that I was sliding perpendicular to the freeway, then my car hopped the median seperating the freeway from the exit lane, high centered on it (it was about 5 feet wide - basically fit between the front and rear wheels of my car), and slid like that for about 20 feet - basically just tearing the shit out of the bottom of my car. The entire exhuast was on the ground, along with tons of miscellanous parts I didnt even recognize. The rear frame looked bent, the entire back end is fucked, and there are paint scrapes on pretty much every part of the car. And to give you and idea of how hard I got hit, both fog lights were hanging out the front from the impact.
I'm told the girl was INCREDIBLY drunk, and was the only one that walked away unhurt. I had to go to the Hospital for X-rays and a CT scan, but everything checks out - besides a terrible case of whiplash.
I should have pics of the accident soon, I had a disposable camera in my car and the film is getting developed. But until then, here are some pics of the car before the wreck. Such a shame it had to go this way :/
And just out of curiousity - anyone have advice on how I'd go about filing a suit against this girl for personal injury, pain and suffering, etc..? I'm totally clueless where to even start with that.
