Not sure how up to date this is lately, but if you have content from a provider on this list that is showing non-compliant, you had better start contacting them right away.
Compliant Content Providers -
"The proposed rule tightens the list of acceptable forms of identification, scrapping college IDs and selective service cards. It also requires that forms of identification be accessible to government agencies to ensure they are legitimate."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Um, what is this shit? You have to keep the ID now? That's not going to work, models are totally transient to the business and in life for the most part. How many content providers couldn't find half the girls that have worked for them if they had to?Comment

Big brother wants more info on pornographers.
Be sure to vote BUSH in 2004 so they can get their way!
In fact, someone should launch "pornographers for bush," make t-shirts and donate the $ to his re-election campaign.Last edited by cherrylula; 06-14-2004, 02:21 PM.Comment

Kimmykin you lost me. We have always had to keep a copy of the ID. Not sure about most shooters, but we have always insisted on two forms of Government ID, ussually a license or state issued ID card and something along the lines of a passport.Originally posted by Kimmykim

I would think that is they are scrapping certain acceptable ID's then those that collected those types of ID's when they were acceptable by the law would be fine. I would think the law would just start on the date it was changed, just like the original 18-2257 did.Comment

Who cares? Who would take a college ID as legitimate ID...I want to AT LEAST see some kind of hologram on a Government Issued ID...Comment

I don't see anything wrong in it either. From the looks of it they are planning to do audits on content produces to check to see if they are up to par. Looks like more of a hassle but far from the sky is falling. Hell probably won't change the way most legit producers work anyway.Originally posted by The Truth Hurts
how is that article or anything mentioned in it a bad thing? In November, you can vote for America's next president or its first dictator.Comment

They want to have the ability to actually examine the original document not the scanned/picture of/copied or otherwise an unoriginal document.Originally posted by BVF

That is just a little extreme IMHO

Read "It also requires that forms of identification be accessible to government agencies to ensure they are legitimate.". This cannot be done with replica documents...Last edited by notjoe; 06-14-2004, 03:48 PM.Comment

Looks like this is the way it will be should things get passed...This would hinder production of content for everyone for a while until they built up a fairly big collection of such things as SIN cards and Driver licenses (god forbid a studio gets robbed and this info is stolen)...Originally posted by Kimmykim

The only way this could even possibly begin to work is if the documents were held by a single entity and true copies were produce and sworn by a J.P. and sent off to the person requesting them, but even that is one stupid idea
