Hey...just dropped out of my ATT nightmere, was with them for over 5 years, just switched to Sprint and much happier, no more dropped calls and not paying twice as much anymore.

I've never had a dropped call in the last 2 years with Verizon.

I used to sell cell phones... hence:

Verizon has the largest Nationwide Coverage. Do not get Verizon's Push-to-Talk. It sucks. (I sold a lot of Verizon...)

Cingular doesn't have quite the coverage locally that Verizon offers, but competes by giving away the farm in their plans (eg rollover).

              AT&T isn't shit. They aren't even a big player.

Nextel is great if you don't live in a barn.
Sprint = Nextel -- No coverage once you get off an interstate.

Everybody drops calls. Since everyone is using different technology, when you switch from a Verizon tower to a shared Cigular tower, you're actually switching modes in your phone from CDMA to TDMA or GSM, which increases the likelyhood of dropped calls. 2nd, xDMA providers still have analog in their networks. You can safely step down from Digital -> Analog, but the entire time you're on Analog your phone is trying to get Digital back (it's better right?) As soon as it finds a Digital Signal it can lock onto, your phone DROPS YOUR CALL (every time... it's the way the networks are built) and takes the Digital.

That provide any insight? Most of those puds that work for Corporate will just give you the corp bs line. The above paragraph is how the technology REALLY works, mainly from a CDMA (Verizon, ALTell, etc) standpoint.

              PS - I didn't work for corporate ;) I worked for a Dealer.

T-Mobile is the best. Cingular is in the process of buying AT&T Wireless they've gotten gov't aboved it. and Verizon will fuck you over big time. verizon it probably the only company that still charges like .60cent per min for roam. the claim to have the largest network thus making it seem like you'll never have to roam, but when you do you'll get fucked big time.

p.s. you should look into a GSM provider one that uses SIM chips that way you can change your phone anytime you want.

Nice grammar... and... it's worse than you think. Verizon charges $0.69 / min roaming but...

Furthermore... I'll do some legwork for you all.

Why the fuck would you say T-Mobile rocks??? Yellowish color = no service...

                    And Cingular??

                    Cingular's GSM-only network, again yellowish/tan = no service

AT&T Blows wad, and yes, they're being picked up by Cingular...

                    AT&T Nationwide GSM Network

By far the most coverage... Verizon, still using CDMA true, but the others don't have their GSM networks filled out yet. yellowish/tan = roaming; white = no service

I still can't believe you think T-Mobile is the best... yeah... they've got some good coverage huh?

                      Part II

Nextel? Yah baby... white = no service

And for all the Sprint fans... The DARK green (if you can even see it!) is your network. LIGHT green = Analog Roaming. Tan = no service.

EDIT for the monkeys: Analog Roam means you're using Cingular, Verizon, Alltel, etc towers...

ATT SUCKS MY ASS - NO RECEPTION - 3 fucking differant states it sucked ass.

In California the reception was SHIT not to mention the antenna on the phone i have is crap.

In Massachusetts - same deal, reception is SHIT.

In Florida, reception was pretty good, but the phone still had issues.

My gf has a phone on my plan, same deal. (totally diff phone too)

FUCK YOU ATT FUCK YOU MOTHERFUCKERS

They piss me off so much and when I get a chance im going to call, fork out the $300 and cancel my 2 year agreement all the time cussing the motherfuckers out.

Everytime I go to the mall and I see those cell phone booths and I pass the att one, I stop and bitch.

T-Mobile said theyd pay my deactivation fee with ATT if I bought a plan with 4 phones in it... i only need 2.. but shit t-mobiles coverages is crap.

I might stop by Verizon booth and moan and see if theyll trade 10min of my gf's pussy for free phones and pay my deactivation at ATT.

                        BTW FUCK YOU ATT

I've been with Sprint-Cingular-Sprint over the past 4-5 years.. and by far Cingular had the better coverage... I had no long distance or roaming and rollover mins...

Sprint points out the fact that they only use their Sprint PCS all digital network and that is supposed to be good... well, what it really means is you have a shitty coverage area. The only time my cingular phone didnt get reception was 10 stories underground... with Sprint, I could walk 10 feet to the left and lose my signal.

US Cellular... home of the "Award Winning Customer Service". Strangely, this was awarded by them to them, because they began this claim the minute their company started...
