Ah well, looks like you guys aint as good as you think you are.

I'm not totally against the English football team, but what pisses me off is all the hype in the media and within the football pundits.

They think they have a god damn right to win and to be honest they don't. They aren't as good as they think they are and the sooner they realise this the sooner they will become a better team for it.

Tonight, I am willing to bet there are riots in Portugal. English fans hate to be beaten.

Honestly I don't think I've heard one pundit or paper who thought we'd win tonight (let alone the tournament). I'm not too sure where the arrogance tag comes from, when it comes to football we're the most self depricating bunch in the world.

England has a great team..
I'm a huge fan of brittish footbal in general...I would want any brittish nation to beat France...England was just unlucky today...

a missed penalty, and then TWO goals in the last 3 minutes.

I felt really sad for beckham when he missed the penalty. I always admired how when everybody thaught he was not in shape and killed by all the media talking about him and his wife, and still when it comes to important matches, he plays like a real start and always comes out as hero...today barthez stoppe him from doing that..

but England will still go through to the next stage....no doubt

Thing is I know this, I couldn't care less if Scotland win or loose. I have my club football team which is all I care about.

England supporters are 50% yobs 50% very nice people. Take away the yobs and I would actually want them to do well.

And for the guy who says that England scored first? So what? Does that mean shit now? If a team scores 4 goals before the other team scores any but still loose the game, then they still lost the game. No matter who scores first or who scores the best goal, the team who scores the most goals wins the game

Fair enough, but to be honest you must not have been watching TV all week then. Its been all England will do this and England will do that.

England will do nothing, coz they don't know how to play as a team for 90 minutes. Oh wait sorry, they did that tonight, its just the remaining 3 added on they fucked up in.

Seriously, see if England learn how to see out a game, they would be one of the top 5 teams in the world. They would also win this Championship if they could defend for 90 minutes!

Digi on any other occasion, I'd agree with you. The "English" have a habit of hyping up their teams which just puts so much pressure on the players and makes the fans expect a whole lot more.

That isn't really the case when I watched the England - France game this evening. The English have a very formidable team and while the French were able to pass it about, they couldn't really do much to get the ball into within 18 yards of the goal. The English played good, strong football. I mean Henry and Trezequet had a very quiet evening considering that one of them has been named player of the year 2 years running in the Premiership.

Back in 1990 when I was at an army camp in Scotland (Cultybraggan - sp?) all the Scots were cheering for Cameroon.
They hate the English because of Prima Nocte but the English do not hate the Scots. In fact we quite like them, even though they always gobbled up so much more English tax than they contributed back
