Some fucker just

...hacked into my firewall. The dialog box for the firewall appeared on screen...informing me that it was shutting down...then a dialog bocx appeared on the screen with writing on it in some lanquage that I do not recall ever seeing before. This dialog box had an OK selection and the close selection was active. I closed the dialog box and my computer shut down...costing me several hours of work.

I updated and am currently running my virus scanner for both hard drives just in case I picked up a virus. This is the second time someone has hacked into my firewall. After the first time I switched to a different firewall...now it has happened with my current firewall. I would like to bitch slap the asshole into next week.

I just took a shit, and someone rang the doorbell. So I tried to hurry up and finish, did the paperwork, and ran to the door. But there was nobody there. But on the door, was a note in some language that I had never seen before.

Think maybe it was the same guy?

I have used ZoneAlarm...but switched...and I do not recall why now. It was not because it was hacked.

I am thinking about getting a new system as my system is 5 years old...and is just 1000 megaherzt...and I am maxed at 512 MB of RAM...and I need more. If I do get a new system I intend to get the current state of the art with all the bells and whistles.

problem with, I get a little fluster at times. working on electronic's can't fucking remember how to fix something. know I know how and have done it 1,000's of times. Still a little with speech, doesn't want 2 come. Other wise

I have a router, a software firewall, Norton anti Virus, AVG (grisoft) anti virus,
ad-ware, sypbot. AND I still got a keylogger on my computer. The anti Virus nor sypbot found it. ad-ware did.

And keep them up-dated, and have them set 2 run EVERY night.

So if you think you are safe with a firewall think again,

If you think all you have to do is run virus software to find tracks of an intrusion its no wonder you keep getting hacked. A firewall is only as good as the person running it.

I have pretty much had a constant connection to the internet since 1995 and have never been hacked and have never had a virus. A router and firewall software is the only way to go.

I would guess to say most likely if you got a key logger chances are it was either installed through an email file or someone you know installed it locally. People would be amazed at how easy it is to install spy programs on someones computer that are almost impossible to find. I could go to anyones house I know with a floppy in my pocket, install a 100k file on their computer in less than 30 seconds and get emailed every 15 minutes of EVERYTHING they do on their computer, and I mean everything, from keystrokes which will show passwords, to every website they go to, to what pictures they look at, to what songs they listen to and more....everything. They would never know the program was installed or running and no virus software would ever detect it.
