I'd like to see it too......really unfair not to announce it for all the contestants-pinned on the board or in email ... I busted my ass to get mine shot by today and didn't get to shoot my original idea because of the weather, when I could've shot it this weekend had I known this.
I'd like to see this announcement
but I've already submitted my entry since I thought it was due today.

Yep, that's why we're asking about it. I would think if there is an extension someone would let you resubmit based on hardship. Wouldn't be much more than someone not recieving the gear. We don't want to kick anyone out because they didn't get their gear, so I think giving girls a little more time to get their gear is a good idea. Of course we can't hold it up forever though. Seems like the appropriate and fair thing would have been a thread from Lens or Loryn- and official pinned thread actually including the new deadline in the thread and also an email to all the contestants, not a post in someone elses thread

I put so much time and effort into securing a location and shooting mine very late last night, I won't be re-shooting, but wish I had known, so I could've waited and shot it this weekend in the sunshine !

It was in Kcat's "Haven't got my stuff yet" thread. Lensman came in and said "Stop worrying, the date is the 14th anyway." I have my stuff, but I'm taking my picture on Sunday due to scheduling, so I sure hope they didn't put it back to the 11th!
That is unfair to not let everyone know, though.
