Is that not what I just examplified? If either is two points away from winning the bet is off, it takes 3 points to win. Or am I completely missing the points thing all together?

Points thing just means one team gets free points added to the FINAL SCORE of the game..

So for example If the Pistons get +10 points over say the Lakers, that means if the Lakers win the game by only 9 points, the person who bet on the Pistons still wins... Even if the Lakers won the game..

Becasue after adding the free 10 points the Pistons out score the Lakers..
