Circumcision is cruel and unecessary. The foreskin was put there for a reason - to protect, just like your eyelids protect your eyes. My husband and both my sons aren't circumcised and not one of them has ever had a problem keeping clean. Don't you bathe? Please...
And for people who use the excuse that it looks better or it's what's 'normal', that's just ignorant and selfish. You'd cause your child unecessary pain and longterm nerve damage because it's 'prettier'?
I don't know about other parts of Canada, but here in the west, it's very uncommon for a baby boy to be circumcised. In the city I live, only 2 doctors still perform the procedure and it's not covered by medical insurance because it's considered an unecessary cosmetic procedure.
Btw - when erect, you can't tell the difference between circumcised or uncircumcised.

Circumcision is wrong. It's unncessary and cruel for a child to bear without being able to consent. Strange how even non-religious people can actually debate about cutting off a piece of another persons body without their consent (just because of 'tradition'? that's frightening). Why not cut off ears, sometimes they get infected and dirty don't they?
As for locker rooms, I don't think some of the ladies understand how men behave. We could hardly care less about cut/uncut. It's nothing to be ashamed of, it's a joke to men. We call ourselves 'mushrooms' or 'ant-eaters' all in good fun.
It does reduce sensitivity because the skin that was once protected is now exposed and has to build up a form of callous.

I know of too many men and small boys that did not have it done and then when they got older they did not have a choise.

when your son is born and curcomcised there is no pain involved unless your doc don't know what they are doing.
There are a few different ways of doing it also and if it is not done when the baby boy is born you run the risk of tearing the skin when you are bathing the baby, or if they are not properly treated and cleaned with every change and the diper gets dry it can also tear.
Pluse it looks better and more healthyComment
