50% or around 30$ to the advertiser, payment processing, bandwidth cost, staff, producing content, etc. With alot of webmasters using hosted galleries instead of paying for bandwidth themselves and movies becoming more and more popular, it doesn't become easier, too. Make a little calculation and you'll see that the site owner has only a small profit on each member...if you don't have a massive ammount of member ensuring some steady cash flow, it's not that easy to pay competitive rates without a little extra from upsells.Comment

This is what makes me not like rebilling.
Why try to charge someone for a membership type of thing that isn't even updated? If some of these sponsors who don't update too often but have a decent amount of content would just offer smaller and cheaper NON recurring memberships to surfers at a higher per day price point, and even just paid out 50% it would be so much easier to make money.
But its always about squeezing the surfer for every dollar, often til they feel cheated and charge back.
If a site is not updated frequently or not interactive like a true amateur girl site then I don't see how it justifies an automatically rebilled subscription.

Normally pps programs charge $29.95 - $39.95 a membership. MOST upsells do not pay anywhere close that. Retention would and does make paysites more money than any upsell, so if it hurt the retention nobody would do it.
Upsells is a very small percentage of income for paysite owners. It helps pay SOME of the bandwidth is about all..
