they're not a charity
if she want's artistic independence then she can pay to record/market/distribute herself

sony spent 2.5 million dollars making the album which almost took 2 years to make...

they'd be better cutting losses now then spending god knows how much on marketing etc and it bombs.

She has enough money to build her own recording studio (in her own home, if she wants) and produce/distribute her own 'art' via a website. Why are people who think themselves 'artists' still dealing with beancounters? Wasn't the internet supposed to cut out all the 'oppressive' middlemen? she is one of my favorites..she rocks live tons of energy and she can really play the shit out of a piano. i signed and i hope i will get to hear what she has to offer.

I'm sure they could make money from it, maybe not as much as they'd like to make, but she still has a name that millions know.
