Try Zyban. It worked for me. I smoked for about 10 years, and tried to quit on several occasions. they say it takes the average smoker about 4-6 tries before they actually quit ,and it sticks. Anyway, zyban is a anti-depressant. They found that most smokers are depressed to some degree, and during clinical trials of wellbutrin, they discovered this. So they colored wellbutrin purple, slapped a fancy new label on it, and charged about $150 for it...which is zyban. Regardless, the stuff works. I only needed to use it for about 10 days before I quit for good. Another cool thing about zyban is you can still smoke for the first few days, then you gradually cut back to nothing.
