Hershey's right. You'd post a new thread about something, say something that might only interest a few people, and WHAMO.... you get one maybe two serious legit replies and sixteen empty useless BS comments that mean nothing at all from...... you guessed it... ARS sigwhores.

They had a good run for a few months, they ran unchecked all over the board posting like mental cases and they made a few dozen bucks a day for it. Great. But it's over now, find something else to whore with, I was a tad disappointed to see ARS becoming the new "Swoit" anyway. Swoit was a joke, but I've been an affiliate of ARS for years.

They WERE good for bumping my threads though, I'll give them that.

this is totally false, since the start of this board in 2001 there has always been threadjackers . people posting useless shit and smiley to up their post count and get the shirt , then the same guy will keep on posting smiley or " i fucked her" or "owned" or "pop corn" and useless answers like this to get the leather jacket or the dvd player , and what about all the assholes posting " get 50$ for the most posts in this thread" inviting hordes of stupid asswipes who have nothing better to do all day than post on boards.

I never wanted to promote them, only one other webmaster told me that they are really good. So I said hey what the heck, I will give them a go..

A few sign ups in the first week..thought this is okay. Then looked at what my other sponsor was giving me in that same week and so the rest is history!

I totally agree with you. What makes the whole outcry about ARS even more hypocritical is that many of this board's heroes are among the worst when it comes to filling the place up with useless posts.

I don't care whether people post entertaining or business-related posts, but the vast majority are neither. You have to wonder how many would be posting here at all if they weren't trying to sell something.

SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

i personally have to agree with the things you have said. i took off my ars sig, which isnt that big a deal to me considering i just put it on there 2 1/2 weeks ago but i still will come to gfy and read the threads that interest me and i will still reply to the ones i want also with or without a sig.
i didnt start any threads in here, useless or otherwise, i mostly just read. i did ask a question once in the newbie part and it was pretty much ignored.
sorry if i pissed ppl off with my sig or if i only put a on something i found amusing. but i didnt see the need to put down a 10 line paragraph as to why i thought something was funny, to me, that would be a useless post. i can uderstand the complaints about some of the ppl but not all of the ppl. not everyone with an ars sig were doing those things and alot of ppl without one were.
