work visas have yearly caps, i think the caps for 2006 are already exausted
and btw you can get a H1B (work visa) pretty easy IF you have an employer willing to go through all the hoops.
and no you can't legally buy a green card, that's bullshit.
If you have $1,000,000 and are willing to invest them in a business here in the US, then you get permanent residency. But there are catches, can't just drop the money and go
