About twenty years ago a friend of mine went to TJ. He was mugged by two cops. They took all of his money, checked his drivers license to see where he was from, and returned him enough money for gas to get back home.
Instead of quietly leaving TJ he went to police headquarters and reported what happend. When he was laughed at and basically told to shove off; he became somewhat belligerent and they put him in jail. He stayed in jail for more than six months, no charges, no court, and one day was just released to a Mexican attorney who had been hired by his family. His family had hired the Mexican attorney to pay off the powers that be.

Well I hope he can hold him own.. I stayed in a mexican jail for 3 weeks, I fought every day, sometimes 3 times a day.. It so fucking draining to be in there!
You can even fucking sleep... It's a dirty stinking place, and no one plays fair in there, not even the gaurds..
If you cant fight in a mexican jail then your ass is toast. 3 weeks was like 1 year in the real world, and it took $12k USD to get me out.
I hope somone can pull some strings for him, because it took those 3 weeks for them to even set a ammount of money!
