I live on the island and it definetely is super nice, though there's less to do here than in Vancouver.
As for where to live in Vancouver, well it really depends on how much you want to spend on a place. I can tell you some really nice places to call your home but they're priced accordingly. It's all dependent upon how big your cheque book is really.
