When soldiers are attacked in an Ambush, it's called an Ambush because the entire attack was a surprise, not because there's some question as to what the ammo is that's being fired at them.  |
the pen is mightier than the sword - only an idiot would think that the only way to ambush someone is surprise time frame wize. Soldiers can be ambushed in the middle of a battle that they knew was going on.
