I am Sorry , but she should be allowed to die in peace, and as painlessly as possible. Before my mother passed away a few years ago, she had left instructions that she did not want to be kept artificially alive. Low and behold she had a stroke in the hosp and died , but she was resucitated against instructions. She was kept alive for about 2 weeks after on life support, until her organs gave out. I did ask the doctor and the nurses about the feeding etc. because we did not want her starving to death.They said food did not make a big diff at point, that a patient can survive about 2 weeks without eating, and they do not feel the hunger. She was hydrated and kept on morphine to keep the pain down........Let me tell you, it is not a very pleasant experience............
