xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxx.com
Sold it about a year ago for several hundred dollars.
A domain can be upwards of 255 characters total with each part separated by dot(s) limited to 63 characters each. So in a nutshell, a standard 2nd level .com domain can be upto 63 characters followed by the ".com" part; 67 characters.
On an aside, name servers should be no more than about 50 characters in length; not sure if the length glitches have ever been fixed yet with the gTLD name registry.

The domain resolves, but as you say there's nothing there ... perhaps they're saving it for future use and/or forgot about it...
I've done the same thing with some domains I've bought over the years, including some upwards of low $X,XXX.
And one domain I sold several years ago for very high $X,XXX still doesn't even resolve; not even setup for email - the buyer still has never used it for anything.

That one is just plain fucking nuts!Originally posted by ssp
The original domain harks back to when Google used to parse all domains using '-' and give benefit for those containing a keyword.SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60. Let me repeat... A 120 x 60 button and no more that 3 lines of DEFAULT SIZE AND COLOR text.Comment
