The negatives: toothless Meth users now inhabit the entire East side (which is pretty much worthless), unpunished theft crimes, downtown is filled with bums & runaway teens, the economy is really shitty, the road infrastructure and maintenance sucks for the population load, gangs infest North Portland, white trash qualifies as upper-middle class, Fridays and Olive Garden are high-end restaurants, shittiest drivers I have ever seen, Willamette River is mostly poo, tons of ugly lesbians, "sexy" girls here have hairly legs and many tattoos

Positives: nice green trees, interesting weather, some cool upper crust areas (Lake Oswego, West Linn, restaurants in the Pearl & NW District), good access to outdoor activities

This is just off the top of my head. Please feel free to add to the list.
