It's different for everyone depending on their circumstances.... but.. (and excluding US folks for the moment cos there are some limitations if you are a US citizen)...and starting with the basics :-)
(a) There is no need to pay the taxes of high tax regime countries. There are many countries where taxes are very low or non-existant.
(b) Where you are based may also not be the place the actual biz is located - ie you can live in..eg Belize, but have corps in the Caribbean, EU or anywhere you like.
(c) For living.. again it's personal preferences... but many "third world countries" offer much in lifestyle and have healthcare and education systems equal to or better than the US or EU.
(d) The majority of "paradise countries" don't have any problem with online businesses - they don't care :-)
