I truly don't believe it's just "agressive" players. And sure you can make THAT GUY pay in the future, but read down and I'll explain my theory about online poker, and I have posted it before.

At every table there are 3 people who are really on their game, 2 people eager to learn, and 5 people that basically don't know or don't care. Either in it for a thrill and laughs or don't know any better.

That having been said, for every hand, probably 3 of these yahoos will see the flop. From then on, at least ONE of them is going to chase something to the river, no matter how you bet.

Now of course statistically this is a bad way to play poker, but what make up for this and then some is that there is an unlimited supply of these "awful" players to play. That means even if one guy catches a lucky hand with you and then busts out the next dozen hands, the 3-4 other people at the table chasing hands or just raising calling wildly will simply fall into the slot he left.

So in real life you DO make people pay to chase flushes. You make them pay to chase the straights. But it's HARD in online.

Because unlike in real life where there is ususally only 1 real meathead playing and if there ARE more they bust out and never return - or you can milk them over and over knowing their play style - online is different. Endless streams of random named people who you can NEVER follow and are always chasing hands which will screw you.

And as he said, even at the super high limit tables, they still exist. Sure there are less of them, but they're still there.

Textbook poker will still earn you money in the long run, even in Online. but for me, Online produces way too many swings, and they're too big. I can't handle getting busted out by these guys. So I stick to local tables now.
