ICQ problems!! Help!!

    ICQ problems!! Help!!

    I have ICQ PRO 2003 B on my laptop. It will NOT save my account. Once I leave the machine, it logs me off and I have to put my ICQ number and password back in.

    It also does not save any history at all.

    I have looked everywhere to find the button or tab to set it.

    On the login box when I load it, the box for Remember password and autologin are dark, they will not let me check it.

    It is very frustrating, I have lost some important messages.

    Please help!

      Ummm, no history save?

      Doh your toast.

      But here is a neat ICQ trick

      If you click the top on ICQ and then hit a letter ICQ will scroll through all the contacts starting with the letter you key'd

          same thing happened to me, reinstall it and make sure that that the 'internet cafe' option is off...

                  There has to be a solution. I am sure there is some Guru here on GFY who can help!

                              Reinstall it, you will get a new directory under /program files/icq/ named something similar to 2003b. There will also be one named similar to it that holds all of your old history and contact data. Copy the old ones into the new directory.

                                  Re-installed, problem solved.

                                  I guess I must have hit internet cafe option.
