Have you ever broken a tooth?

Yesterday I broke one of my back molars right in half, exposing the nerve.
Fuckin thing hurts something awfull.
No matter what I take to kill the pain.

At least I was lucky to be able to get an appointment to get it removed this afternoon.
That is if they don't have to put me in the hospital to remove it. Its all in pieces. I can feel the pieces with my tongue.

But damn it has been a long nite with no sleep cause of the pain.

If you have never broken a tooth I hope you never do.

Can't say I have ever had the pleasure myself.. but I hear all sorts of gross fucking teeth horror stories from my girlfriend. She's been a dental assistant for like 8 years.

I heard that when u are young and have bad eating habits, then you will have more problems with your teeth when you're older...

broke one of the back ones a few months ago, just got a root canal and cap. Fucking painful for quite some time.

Besides the pain, the worse thing is not being able to eat.
Can't chew anything at all hurts to much.
Can't take anything hot or cold to drink.
It sucks but will be better later today

One time in Mexico Laura knocked my tooth out. I was down there with my wife, YNOT Bob, and a few other friends. I was sitting on a couch with Laura behind me and made a comment about her lack of a certain sexual skill. She hauled off an hit me in the jaw.

We were all totally bombed that night, so I didn't feel a thing. When I woke up the next morning..... Oh shit. She destroyed the tooth.

At least now I can say I got beat up by a girl in Mexico!

Lets see here.... I once blacked out at home and fell on my face, broke one of my front teeth half off. No tooth pain for that one though, the dentist just rebuilt it using that bonding stuff, it's been perfect for about 17 years now.

The closeest I've come to this is... A filling in one of my back molars disintegrated a few years ago leaving a huge hole. Hurt like hell, I'm not sure what broke it. Dentist simply re-filled it and all has been wine and roses ever since.

its funny you post this, I just got out of surgery for dental implants. I had 2 and 1/2 teeth broken by a friend throwing a tire iron at me by accident. Its been two years now, I had 2 teeth pulled and one capped. Then and still wearing a retainer with 2 teeth on it for 2 years. 8 month ago had graphing done, where they took a piece of my jaw and put it where my old roots of the teeth were. Yesterday they opened it up and drilled implant posts, I'm all vicodined and I saw this thread.

i cracked half my front tooth off, it's like razor sharp without the bonding on it. the bonding breaks off every couple years. it hurts like hell when the dentist needs to roughen up the tooth with a drill, it's right on the nerve. even when they inject shit to numb it, that needle hurts like a mother fucker.

Hey last year I got knocked out in an Irish pub...ended up having half front tooth, I don't pretty remember the pain cuz i've been boozed but the dentist's assistant called me an idiot when I asked to get it fixed...

Tip: Aside from the nasty tooth experience, it's always nice to get boozed in Ireland...
