just because the plugin is 96%, it's still not the industry standard bhuto..... you know this is true. You can't really compare a Flash site to a flat site.... they're 2 different animals.
I still personally vote flat only as well for the show.... why? because it keeps things level. Sure, I know... you can do some amazing shit with Flash. But you can also do some amazing shit with alot of other stuff too.... php, asp, coldfusion, shockwave, etc... this shouldn't be about what kind of tricky shit you can do with exotic programs. It's not a job interview.
It should be what you can do within the given guidelines and scope of the event.
I'm tempted to think that Flash would be okay if it was limited to graphical use only.... no audio, no programming, no tricks. But then there will be crying about that too....
either way, this Flash thing needs to be voted on and resolved here soon.... and I think the participating designers should be the ones to vote and decide.... either that or the officials need to get together and make a decision one way or the other on it.
But the 2 category thing isn't gonna work with only one set of prizes... so the Flash needs to either be lumped into the one big show, or given the thumbs down. Unless of course, the prize people wanna specify for "Best Flat Tour" or Best Flash Tour"..... and do the split vote thing, but that just seems like alot of unnecessary complication to me....
my vote goes to no Flash. If it's voted in, that's cool with me too.
