    Look, Mary34D Throws Parties at One of the Hottest Clubs in the Country. Do You???

    All this drama stuff with Mary is just ridiculous. Who gives a fuck? Personally I think it's hot. We got a lot of hypocrites on this board for sure.

    Anyone who throws parties at the Nikki Beach Club in South Beach, Miami has got MY vote! It's argueably one of the hottest clubs in the country. From the pics of seen of guys in here, NONE of you would get anywhere near past the "rope" there.

    Mary, we haven't met yet but I posted in your thread about your new Friday Night parties.

    I'll be stoppin' by to meet you and hang-out sometime soon (maybe even tonight, it's Friday).

                                                                                                                      1st if you are throwing a party, you gotta either rent the place (wich is 5-10k sometimes more depending on places ... the big tent for the rave is 18k $) .

                                                                                                                      2ndly you gotta print flyers ... a good design and like 10 000 good flyers = 750 $

                                                                                                                      3rd you gotta do some radio add if the party is anywhere big ...

                                                                                                                      4th you gotta pay for gas to do the distribution of the flyer

                                                                                                                      You have also to find sponsors for drinks etc ... you NEED money to throw / promote a party .

Palladium, Limelight, Tunnel, all the big clubs of the day. Promoters get PAID to bring in the good crowd. You just rent spaces and throw parties, it seems.

                                                                                                                                      And as far as club promoting ... sorry but I got the 2 biggest local websites, a local magasine that's all about clubs, about 50 flyer racks arround town in different hot spots, 17 fulltime guys in house and couple street guys that work on distribution week end days ... I think I know pretty much what I'm doing ... all the clubs come see us and pay us to do their promo ... everybody is in one single bag . There isn't any serious promoter arround here that can compete except maybe Ebony and Ivory wich brings more black ppl ...

I dunno here the big spots only use us a little ... they can be packed and full at like 10-11 99 % of the time . (Here club close at 3 ... so packed at 10 is awesome) There are actually 4 hot spots like that in the city ... always the same and it say like that for 2-3 years then hype goes on another club .

                                                                                                                                                              Their technique to hype it is to spend like 10 k a month on radio, 10k in flyers and flood everywhere with promo and let the big guys get in VIP ... when you get in front of a 500 people lineup you feal important . I guess it's just different mentalities or something ...

                                                                                                                                                              Word of mouth here is for rave ... cauz they are illegal in this city . We are big enough to make thing move ... we got a permit and everything because we bring really big names for the place but most of the people really do it underground like you are talking .

                                                                                                                                                                  But I'm often doing club flyers design for clubs in the states ... so I guess it's limited to classy places or something

                                                                                                                                                                      you give the doorman a $20 and then pay addmission (or give him a $50 and your right in)

                                                                                                                                                                      you know someone

                                                                                                                                                                      you just get lucky

                                                                                                                                                                              The owner owns 25 % of the city ...
                                                                                                                                                                              The manager was the guy that was managing the campaing of the mayor...

                                                                                                                                                                              And the mayor and other people are always there. Rich business mans .

They are on all radio station too all the fucking time .

Space uses flyers and so does crobar... etc...

                                                                                                                                                                                          There are always lil hot spots that are kept *secret*.. but in reality the money is not on 3 hi rollers, but a few.. so is half and half...

I'm vip in the club I'm talking about with a fucking huge bartab right now and I never go there cauz people think too much about themselves and when I party I just like to chill ... not to proove to everybody that I'm better then them .
