I don't know, but when I have tried to watch mpg files inside my browser, it
tries to download the file before playing it.. Don't think you can stream it..

yes an mpeg should/ will (psuedo stream) the same way a .wmv file psuedo streams when uploaded on a regular server. Not to be confused with real streaming video like on a windows streaming server.

pretty sure you can not

you can stream wmv files (with some special sever software i believe) and rm files, but i do not think i have ever seen mgp's stream

Actually youre wrong,
First. its called 'progressive download, and second , mpeg does not do this the same way wmv's do. WMV will actually buffer while mpgs do not.

Ok maybe not the same way but the end result is the same as in they both (wmv & mpg) will start to play in Windows Media Player before the whole clip is downloaded.
