pay attention to half the banners on gfy...stolen images, songs, etc....it is common place to be unoriginal
purecash was fine, a play on krispy kreme... i havent noticed others... this one is pretty blatent... i could almost imagine a headline in the news "Eminime sues maliscious porn company"
The worst that can happen is a C&D. If they choose not to comply then further actions can be taken.
Um NO.
A C&D is a friendly warning. They can sue right off the bat. I bet he could actually make this a big case. It does indeed look like they are saying that he endorses them and that could hurt his record sales and fan base.
Of all of them you pick that? Well yes it is music related but damn. Mouse over some of the sponsor banners around here. See if you can count how many are using music that they should not be using. (doubtfull if 1:30 pays royalties or licensing rights)
I will not even go into the assorted videos with music in them, again more violations that legit at even a greater ratio.
Sad thing is we all know the music industry is sue happy when it comes to the internet. Just needs the wrong person to hear the wrong thing and there would be a scandle that everyone would just love, Music Industry takes on Porno thief kingpins.
Oh almost forgot, ask some of the offenders if you can steal their stuff.

Soooo many.
OCCash comes to mind, but lightspeed had a besty boys.
Wrong....all he would have to prove is that it represents his "likeness."
Correct.
It's enough that it looks like him, and that anyone could "reasonably" believe it's actually him if they saw the ad.
The most relevant legal precedent is probably a case I heard about a few years back, where a look-alike actor impersonating Kris Kristofferson was sued for endorsing a rib and burger joint -- without making it clear enough that it wasn't REALLY KK.
Umm...Anyone who listens to eminem music know they are straight copying his persona...Notice the use of his lyrics in the ad as well?
From the song The Real Slim Shady -
"May I have your attention please?
May I have your attention please?
Will the real Slim Shady please stand up?
I repeat, will the real Slim Shady please stand up?
We're gonna have a problem here"
From the song My Name Is - "but I can't figure out which Spice Girl I want to impregnate"
They are directly portraying him as well as using lyrics from his popular songs as slogans to the ad...

I rebooted, deleted temp files, history, cookies and everything...still cannot view the news clip. All I see is that fucking gay ass music video from "Rick Roll". Anyone else have a different link to the news clip?

I really don't expect to see that headline because the news organizations have editors who know how to spell.

For the record the CE Cash banner uses legal music.
